Ultra-Low-Noise Single Photon Detector

The SQLightSensor is a ultra low noise near infrared NIR Single Photon Detector based on a Geiger-mode InGaAs avalanche photodiode and a internal thermoelectrically cooler.

The Single Photon Detector is ideal for the most demanding scientific, defence and industrial applications, such as single photon counting, spectroscopy, microscopy, fluoresence, eye-safe laser range finder and LIDAR, and quantum cryptography.

The single photon counter includes a Geiger-mode InGaAs avalanche photodiode (APD) and a thermoelectrically cooler that ensures high detection efficiency, low dark count, high speed, and low jitter. Thanks to its outstanding high level detection sensitivity the single photon counter provides significant benefit over existing detectors.

In addition the photon counter provides plug-and-play Personal Computer connections via the USB interface which enable to easily adjust the detection efficiency, and tune the gate width and delay.
